A track challenge has been thrown out to all tracks. Dean Woolman, who is the chief of commissaires has stated in front of witnesses, that if all the tracks can get together and raise $1,500.00 by intermission on Sunday August 9, he will have his head shaved at intermission on Sunday at the Provincial weekend. All proceeds will be going to the Children's Hospital. Now this is not just shaved. After the clippers, a razor will be used to finish the job off to a nice bright shine. I think something about a baby's bottom was mentioned. So between now and that weekend if someone from each track could start collecting donations and bring them to Red Deer, we can see if this goal will be met. Make any cheques out to Red Deer BMX and we will present one final cheque to the Children's Hospital when all monies are received.

That is freakin' awesome. I love seeing these unique initiatives.
