I think the problem there is that the CCA does not want to have any affiliation with the ABA in Canada. This is what I heard came out of the big CCA meeting last December. So a rider would still need to buy 2 licenses (ABA and UCI/CCA) and would have to race certain UCI/CCA sanctioned races in order to qualify for events such as the Worlds and Olympics. I think Mr. Mechielsen mentioned in his post that many BC riders are holding 2 licenses now because of this. That is why there is no option to vote FOR an ABA that INCLUDES the CCA.
